Capt Amanda King is native to eastern NC and is a fish & wildlife nerd! She is a UNCW SEAHAWK Alumna, 2005 & 2019, BA in K-12 Education & Biology. So naturally she spends most days on the water, fishing, exploring, and teaching marine science education. She specializes in light tackle inshore fishing for Flounder, Trout, Redfish, Black Drum, and Tripletail in and around the shallow bays off the Cape Fear River.
Capt Amanda is a well-rounded fisherman and seaworthy Capt. She started her saltwater resume 25+ years ago offshore with Wahoo, Sailfish, Mahi, Grouper but found her true passion was chasing fish in the skinny marsh creeks. She has both won and placed in several tournaments, inshore & offshore.
Currently Capt Amanda owns a 198 DLV Elite Carolina Skiff powered by a Yamaha 115hp outboard - perfect for getting in skinny water!

Capt Amanda King will help every angler, from beginner to pro, have the best possible fishing experience. Kid friendly too! Capt Amanda is a FLOUNDER finatic, but she will also guide you to REDFISH, SPECKLED TROUT, BLACK DRUM, TRIPLETAIL and more, along the shallow bays off the Cape Fear River.

NEW for 2024: Micro Trip -- $200.
(2 hours of fishing, great if kids are unsure or new to boats / fishing, also great if weather is so/so)
Regular Trips:
1/2 Day Inshore Fishing (4-5 hours) -- $400
Full Day Inshore Fishing (8 hours) -- $800
Capt for Hire (1/2 day, your boat, teaching vs fishing) -- $250
Eco Tours (2 hr min) -- $50/hr
Captain-in-Training Lessons (2 hr) -- $100
* Prices are total, not per person. MAX capacity of 3 adults. Inquire about kids b/c they are smaller.
* Trips are weather dependent and regular trips are scheduled around the tide.
* Please book FAR in advance. In our peak season I am booked 2 months out!
* Deposits required. Refundable with 24 hr notice.
